Is that 28 mpg for realz? I have a hard time believing that.

Still a load of hooie, but with 3.08:1 gearing on flat ground with a tailwind and you accepting a zero-to-60 time measured in weeks ... maybe.

The disclaimer literally says "actual highway mileage lower".

Same way that all the 71 and older stuff has (generally, but not always) WAY inflated HP numbers. There were no rules on HP or MPG and they pretty much made up whatever they wanted. There weren't legitimate standards until ~05.

Lots of overstated MPG before that, and HP claims were high/low for various reasons before the mid 2000's.

I have a 6.2/700R4/3.08 K10. The zero-to-60 time isn't actually measured in weeks, but it's slower than most of the rigs on the road.

Over the last 15,000 miles (or so) I have come to expect 23-24MPG @ 55MPH and 21-22MPG @ 65MPH.

On one trip I got 26MPG.

Thanks to this thread, it has now become my goal to get 28MPG once, just to see if it can be done. :haha:

Maybe with a good stick shift... :thinking:
 
I just sent one to the scrapper.... it was off my 76 and pretty rusty. I think I have another one at my dads, but I would bet shipping will be expensive.
 
Would you let me have the one that you have at your dads if I pay shipping? Or could we work some sort of deal out?
