I read the "39.5 Irok" thread, and about 15 other Irok tire threads, but can't find the answer to 1 question. Have you guys who run 39.5 Iroks moved your axle forward? I have cut the hell out of fenders the and will continue to do so as needed (woudl like to keep the inners if possible), but do not want to move the axle forward. I am running 6 inches of suspension lift and want to put on 39.5x16 Iroks. What do you think, will they fit?

why dont you want to move your axle forward????

Mostly becasue it will screw up my steering, which is not cross over. I may one day decide to go cross over, but not now and if I try to move the axle up I will have trouble with my drag link setup. I guess I may have to, but woudl prefer not to unless I have no choice, at least not now...

I have 39.5 irocks on my 78 ,i have 3" body lift and addaleafs I still have inner fender wells

I lied..again...one more quesiton, after reading another 30-35 threads, it appears that the vast majority of the people runnign bigger Iroks are runnign the bias ply. Anybody runnign the big radials? Like 39.5" big as opposed to 49" big...

BigCountry, I checked out your webshots, great looking truck!

Mudhog, I looked at yoru pictures too. Nice truck..are those Bias Ply Iroks?

Trusty, I saw a picture in Mudhogs link of your truck flying through the air. Was that on your Alcan springs? How did they hold up?

Sorry for all the questions, but if you build cool trucks and then show me the cool pictures, I am going to want to know how to do the same thing...

my dad is running 42 iroks with 6"springs and a zero rate NOT moving the axle. he hasnt had to trim but a few inches.

Cool, have you taken them offroad often? How ar ethe sidewalls? I only have litle Truxxs now, but puntured the side wall the second time out which is why I am a little worried about the Irok radials...

Cool, thanks for the feedback. I read a lot of information, including all the ply ratings etc..on the interco site, still not sure how the side wall strength is determined, but those Iroks are sweet...

Here is a general question. Based on what I have read, there are not many choices in the 38" (38.5) radial on a 16" rim flavor...

Interco
Trxus
SSR

What else??

Thanks, Mine are bias axle moved 1.5" forward, very little trimming w/ 8" of lift and I do rub. More trimming to come (similar to dp90)

I have 39.5 TSL Bias plys with 6inch lift and at full stuff I do rub on the ft part of the fenders. I need to cut more. As for the rear I have cut the ft and rear of the wheel well at full stuff I rub a little on the lip I think if I just beat the hell out of the inner lip I will not rub anymore. I hope this help I do have a few pics of the K5 I could post if needed

If you are worried about sidewall strength, Dont be. I am only running 36's but the sidewalls are very strong and stiff, And yes they are radials.

Thought I would revive an old thead instad of starting a new one just to ask question. I read a lot of threads about where to get tires and rims..
Dessert rat
Tyres1
National Tire
4wheelparts

Of all of these, only National had 38" or bigger tires. Any thoughts on where to get 38 TSL Radials on 8 lug rims?
