i took the boys woodcutting yesterday afternoon, aand there sitting on the edge of the woods/hay field is a 1979 Cadillac DeVille Phaeton.drivers rear quarter smashed into the tire.otherwise,no rust or body damage anywhere else, perfect grey leather interior, power everything, keys in the ignition, and unlocked.opened the hood and staring me in the face was a 425cid bb.i didn't think to check the milage,or to throw the battery from my truck in it:doah: but it's not going anywhere smashed like that.the engine looked very clean and maintained so i'll be digging up some info as to the owner and why its there.how easily will that bolt into my '84 and mate to a 465/205?i think i just found a better use for tax returns..better not count my chickens before they're hatched.wish me luck, guys!

You'll need a custom flywheel since there was never a caddy with a manual transmission. It's been done though. The 425 is a pretty good enigne. You shouldn't have problems with the oil pan as that motor use's a mid sump oil pan and it'll clear.
