This is legit. The guy I purchased from had been trying to buy this Jimmy for years. He kept refusing to sell until the date mentioned. Vehicle sat garaged the whole time. PO replaced fuel tank, water pump, fuel pump, fuel filter, alternator, AC compressor, and fuel sending unit to get it back on the road.
I purchased May '20 @175,505 and she returned back to the Jacksonville area.

Finally found one that didnt cost an arm and a leg. Nice of them to throw a coat of paint on it.

Went and ordered new headlight conversion housings after reading @pma4x4 Headlight Upgrade post. Sometimes I just need to stop reading this stuff. While I was at it ponied up and got the LED side marker lights and license plate illuminator :) My P/U that is in restoration mode has LED taillights that I will be transferring to the Jimmy. Lets see if I need one of those fancy blinker modules. Didnt need it on the P/U so I am guessing it will be alright. As always pics will be forthcoming.

PO of tire carrier is awesome. Sent it to me super fast. Three days total from time of payment to sitting on my doorstep from Colorado. Im in FL. Just a couple of more original parts to go. Factory center caps should be here today (5Jun) in anticipation of picking up a set of factory wheels, aluminum 8 holes, which I have lined up. I want to swap out my original hard top for a version with the roof rack and spoiler. I have seen two different version so I have to find out which is year appropriate. Hope it is the one I think is better looking.

Headlight upgrades. New H4 glass/aluminum housings and LED bulbs. Trimming of the buckets was required for bulb fitment due to the size of the hold downs.

Round access was easiest and better looking IMO.

Everyone knows that "new to me" vehicles come with some surprises. Doing routine maintenance is not always a priority for some. For others it is something they do but not very well. Rear diff had about one quart of oil. Easy fix. Transfer case had a caramel in color and consistency type fluid. I can only assume it was a mixture of gear oil and ATF. Now contains the correct amount and type. Front diff is a trainwreck. Spoonful of gooey fluid and a gallon of crystal clear water that looked suitable to drink. Rust was everywhere internally. Cleaned it up as much as possible hoping that by some miracle it would be ok. Turning the diff by hand is labored. The pinion will turn the ring gear but the spider gears look as if they are binding and slipping all at the same time. I really cant describe it. While on jackstands I put her thru the paces. Transfer case works as it should but the front tires dont turn. No 4WD for this guy. Anyone have an idea of what happened internally?

Where did the side markers come from? They work properly with parking/heas lights on and turn signal, unlike the cheaply LEDs?
