Pull the distributor out and have someone hold it. Now turn the truck around and drop the distributor back in. If it fires now, you know the dizzy was 180* out.
That's genius!!!
Sure will save time from now on!
I have been doing it the hard way, pull truck in shop, pull the engine, bolt it to the engine stand, remove dizzy, turn engine 180 degrees, reinstall dizzy, reinstall engine, try it again...
