i have actually seen a dump truck with spinners..it was quite interesting
 
I imagine the Border Patrol did it for the single tires and better streetability and treadlife.
 
Look at the air cleaner: It's not a duece, it's a five ton. The wheels are probably Alcoa's off a siezed rig.

I stand corrected. Didn't pay that much attention, just saw something shiny. :haha:

I thought the mil stuff was odd lug pattern??
 
5-tons have the standard 10-lug BudWheel pattern just like MOST semi's have these days
 
a junk yard in my area just got some of those HUGE Oshkosh trucks, m???

they make 2.5 tons look really small.

some of the dump trailers at work have super singles on them. those old bais ply duals look better on those old trucks
