I might need to call ORD also. DOH!!!! It seemed to steer a little funky sometimes. Oh yeah, I bough tit like this and drove it home 16 miles on the highway....sweating with my fingers crossed, on the tags from my Burb....I think I had a slightly elevated heart rate also.

Holy crap!:eek1:

It looks like you have stock suspension, steering and tires...
Can it really crack that bad with the stock stuff, or has it been in an accident?

holy crap man.the front crossmember is probably the only thing that kept that together.thats gona take some work.

Most crack when the truck is stock. Not many get that bad before someone notices it though.

The truck was owned by a construction co since new, plowed since day one....light duty though...yeah right. the plow under carriage was actually keep ing it together. There is a very small like 1/4 in section still together, and all the steering box bolts were tight. of course all of the plow frame bolts were ****ed, truck is all stock with 86K on it.

haaha 1/4 inch together, but the other foot of frame is not.even light duty plowin aint that great on a frame.obviously was too much for the steering box part of the frame.hows the rest of the truck look?

so was there a crap load of grease/oil build up on the frame right there? I've never seen a MASS frame that stayed that clean!!!

That's crazy! I can imagine what was going through your mind while trying to drive that thing. You must have been saying "I want off this ride!" :eek1:

looks like the sway bar was helping to hold it together too. look at the arch of those springs.

is that the red k30 with the flatbed on it? saw it on the c/k/v 30 pic thread. you said it needed some welding, guess you meant it.
mmmmmmm carnage.:D

that must be the only practical use for a sway bar mounted on a 4wd vehicle. keeping the frame from breaking off :haha::haha:

Wow Denis, what did you get into? I recently did the ORD frame repair but my frame wasn't nearly that bad. Just had some cracks spidering out from the bolt holes. Let me know if you need a hand. And you can borrow my welder if you don't have one.

Yes it is the red one with the flatbed. No to gotblazers, the truck wasn`t free, I don`t find a lot of free K30`s with a 60 front, 14 FF rear, and a 205 tc, that run and drive with 8 ft Fisher plows. Thanks Brian, my mig is stiil down, but got one from a co-worker. Now onto the update, finally got a couple hrs to work on her today, looking better, still have some clean up to do. At least she`s whole again. Borrowed a Miller 130XP, nice machine, think I like it better than my Hobart 140.
