I drove the Blazer on a whim today.. Man, the looks you get when people see this thing coming. OK, maybe it is just me, but I feel really tough in this monster. I think they are also trying to make sure someone is actually driving..LOL, I didn't realize how much lower the driver seat is.. I think it needs new padding. I just feel really tall and tough driving today, Nothing is gonna get in my way.. of course if they do.. I may just have to roll over them, J/K. Do you all still have that powerful feeling after driving your K5 all the time?

Yep, sure do! I get cut off and abused like all the other mortals in our Cherokee

yet in my Jimmy people hesitate to tailgate and cut me off. They probably think something is about to fall off and land on their car

Much better view of the road in my Jimmy too!

I am always given the right-of-way at four way stops.
It was a pain in the ass when I first got my truck because everyone in there little cars would just sit there and look at me when it was there turn. But now I just roll on throught.

I think I might have broke something.

No kiddin'....when I put my blinker on in my Dodge Neon nobody budges. I put the blinker on in my Blazer...like the Red Sea parting. I love it!

You should see the faces of people when I drive my K5 here. You all must have heard about what cars are driven here in euope. Now think of a K5 driving between those!!!

"K5 Grand GT in the Netherlands."

I used to have a POS old dually that we affectionatly called the gray bastard. It had a big a$$ front push bumper. It was just a mean looking truck. A lady was going to pull out onto the road and stopped with the front of her car sticking out (a little pet peeve of mine. I mean come on! If you don't know where the front of your car is get out and measure it for crying out loud!!). I said to my freind riding in the truck, "Watch this." I purposly locked the back tires up and it scared the $hit out of her! Her eyes got really big and she threw it in reverse and got out of there real quick. And when people are brave enough to cut me off, I tail them and it makes them really nervous and so they get out of my way. He he! I love it!

After driving the car all week to work, just getting up in the beast and rumbling down the road always brings a big grin! Its kinda nice to see the respect that the Blazer gets in traffic with the scary looking brush-bar on the front. Ya can see people getting ready to pull out..then they do a double-take..then they stare as ya rumble past!! HAHAHA!! Overkill is FUN!!

One of the comments I get all the time with my Blazer here in San Diego is, "wow, that thing must be a pain in the @ss in traffic." Mostly from people who don't drive anything bigger than a Civic, Escort, Cavalier, etc. Well, sure, it gets horrible gas mileage when you compare it to the little teensy weensie cars, but I find it is very good in traffic.

Instead of:
"...........um......blinker blinker blinker.........I'm trying to get over here........would someone please let me in................hello.....................anyone?................pplllllllleeeeeeeaaaaasssssseeeeeee............."

It's:
"BIG TRUCK CHANGING LANES...........MOVE IT OR LOOSE IT..........THANK YOU."

Just got to make sure the other guy isn't driving a 1 ton dually, Suburban, Excursion, or semitruck and I'm king of the road.

<font color=green> yeah, tell me bout the king of the road effect, my blazer is the blggest thing there is at school, you can look over the parking lot and see my lightbar, roof rack and most the top of the thing over all the other cars. and yeah, people show respect to something as huge as the ole K5, but i guess my buddy in his Nugget yellow 4Runner(4"lift, soon to be 33x15.50's again) will have to take dibbs on the king of the road thing next year at school
