You guys are always talking about www.rockauto.com I decided since I was ordering all new steering and front end parts for my old rag to price it out at a couple places they were half of what some of the other places charge!

but make sure you get good name brand stuff. and don't forget shipping price.

cheep steering / suspension parts these days are not worth it at all

You used a 5% off code too, right? They are all over the place if you google it.

I've found that Rockauto shipping sucks anymore unfortunately. Their shipping from other warehouses will kill you. If you see 5 starters, for instance, add all of them to your cart. Do the same thing for everything you are buying. Then when you get to your cart, remove everything that doesn't ship from the same location. That will typically save you a bunch in shipping.

Their service/prices used to be awesome, but from what I've witnessed/seen, it appears they are tightening their purse strings internally.

When it comes to shipping I've gotten spoiled by places like Summit or Jegs that ship for free or a $10 handling fee and it's on your doorstep in two days.

I've been pleased with what I've gotten from Rock Auto, but you do have to play around with the warehouses or the shipping will end up erasing any cost savings. Then there's the hassle of parts arriving at different times.

They have a feature on rock auto's website that calculates in shipping price to show you the part with the lowest over all cost.

Yeah, if you work it in your favor and have a few days, RockAuto is def the way to go. I've got 14 of their 'Collector Series' magnets on my refrigerator. Wife hates em.
