When replacing the front seal on the NP 203, do you need to remove the yoke after you take the driveshaft off or can you just remove the housing and keep the yoke on?

I am guessing you have to remove the yoke but I just want to make sure.

Thanks,
John

front output ? yes .

the yoke has to come off. then pop the seal from the aluminum retainer. if you pull the aluminum retainer there is a gasket in there to the tcase body. and also there is a oil drain back hole that must not be pluged or covered up. you will see it.

Is it easier to just pull the aluminum cover and remove and install the seal with it off or can the seal be removed/installed fairly easily with the cover still attached?

if me and no gasket for adaptor to tcase then leave on.

if you can get a new gasket pull it its faster as its 4 bolts.

dont use rtv. it can plug the hole for the oil flow.

Sweet, thanks man! I will see if there are gaskets available, sounds like I might as well kill two birds with one stone.
