Ok guys I am having some issues getting this chevy back together.
Earlier I had the transfer case stuck in low range. I got that solved and I can now shift the case by hand.

It looks like the inner shift lever on the case is the hi - low range and the other locks the differental in the case. The problem is that I am not sure how to get the shifter lined up to adjust it properly and I think it has a part time kit in it but I'm not sure how to tell without taking the thing apart.

Now for the best part of the story, I also took the shifter apart and I'm fairly certain that I have the shifter assembled improperly. (I took it apart to clean the mud and gunk out of it.) I cannot find a drawing of how it should be reassembled (and I've experimented with the thing for hours). :doah:So, does anyone have a drawing of the lever assembly. I've checked Chilton, the Chevy shop manual.

While we are at it I also need to know what postions do the levers on the case need to be in to connect the shift rods to it in order for it to shift properly?

If this case has the part time kit in it I am only going to have the option of high or low range correct?

If so can I forget the about the other shift lever if I have it in the locked position?
It has been a long time since I "fixed" somthing this good so feel free to take you best shots at my incompetence while your at it:whistle:

twin stick it. you'll need 2 original 203 shifters to do it. then you will have a separate lever for hi & low, and one for 2wd & 4wd. there should be directions around here to do it.

you will keep having problems with the original shifter.
