I have a full time 4x4 203 case the shifter has low, low loc, n,hi and high loc in that order. Where should the shifter be for everyday driving. I know that it should be on high but just trying to figure it out hi or hi loc what the diff thanks guys and the hubs are not in the lock position

The NP203 t-case is a fulltime 4 wheel drive t-case and uses a differential to split the front/rear bias (front and rear shafts are able to turn at different speeds) so HI would be for normal everyday driving and HI-LOC is basically like installing a spool and makes BOTH the front and rear shafts spin at the exact same speed.

No body noticed he said the hubs are not in the loc position.
That means that it's converted to part time.
It still should be ran in Hi but it will be running 2wd hi.
Loc would put it in 4wd.

While I did miss the part about his hubs not being in the locked position don't always assume that just because he has locking hubs that the t-case has been converted. I've seen many people that installed locking hubs without converting the t-case and then they wonder why the truck won't move if the shifter is only in the HI position but will move when in the HI-LOC position.

Yeah and I did think about that when he said he'd been driving it in Hi loc all this time but I want to say 99% chance it's been converted.

Which reminds me I need to find someone making a doubler and take the diff out of it I want to revert back I don't really like the part time.
Or maybe I should just put that 205 I have in there instead.
