I pulled my 205 back out today to swap the front output to 32 spline and while it was out reseal it. I got a seal kit of e-ghey and none of the seals that it came with match the seal that's in the adapter housing for the input shaft. I looked on O'reilly's website and it lists two possible seals for it but neither one is as small as this one... So I guess I'll ask two things: 1. Does the sm465 to 205 adapter take a different seal that I don't know how to look up or something? 2. Are there supposed to be two seals in the adapter? Mine currently only has 1 at the t-case side...

I'm fried and kinda pissed, especially after dropping the case on my hand while trying to put it back in, at which time I tore the old seal that I was just going to reuse:doah: Everything I've found while searching is leading me to think that it's supposed to be two of the larger seals that go against the coupler shaft but at this point I have no idea:confused:

I went out and looked at my sm465 adapter out of my 71 k10 and it only has one seal in it and its on the transfercase side.
Part # is CR-13676-USA.
My gasket kit I ordered did not come with this seal either. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help any other way.

I just measured my seal dimensions and thats the correct seal as far as dimensions.
The picture they show is definitely not the seal they describe but they could just use a generic picture for all there seals.

I can take a pic of mine if you need me to. Just let me know.

yep, that's the bugger as far as dim's go. I'll see if I can get one on island. I'd like to put this thing back together today and move on. I have too much other crap to get done to be worried about this thing.

I've had this case in and out like 4 times now, swapping to a manual- changing the input shaft, etc, etc and it's a total PITA every time:haha:

Wow, O'reilly's has one on the other side of the island, it'll be over here around 10:woot: Now I don't even need to waste my gas!
