Np 205 shifter linkage bushing question.

What is the best way to put this white plastic bushing back in the flat piece that shifts the rails on a Np 205 ? The transfer case is a 6 bolt round out of a 88 to 91 K30. I have tried everything and with each try the plastic piece goes flying and I have to look for it for 45 mins. I have tried everything I know of to make this work even heating the plastic piece up with hot water.

Sell it to me! That's a nice bushing. I grease em up and put it in a vice with a small socket on the other side. Pops right in.

Do you need some of those bushings Matt? I am going to try that and if I can't make it work mister I am going to ship to you and let you fix it...
