I have a 79 k2500 4x4 with a steel bed,and my dad has a 80 k1500 4x4,his front drive shaft came loose and hit the shift rail that goes in the transfercase and I think it bent the rod because it would not come out of 4 wheel drive.I pulled the transfercase out and pulled all the gears out but the only way I can get the shift rail to move is with a hammer and punch.The manual I have says to put it in neutral but it wouldn't shift with the gears in it.Any suggestions?How does the interlock pins come out and where can I purchase some new shift rails?
