NP 208 Cross member question?

I am going to swap a TH400/208 combo into my truck. I am currently running a TH400/203 set up. I know the cross members are different but I did not get the cross member when I bought the new trans and Tcase. So
1. Are all NP208 cross members the same for dodge, Chevy, ford?
2. what year cross members are interchangable on chevy trucks?
3. are all frames from 73-87 the same with?

which adapter did you get for the 400/208, theres two versions. one, tall will let you use your original crossmember. then theres the other one which is a short adapter and you will need an 85 and newer crossmember.

I am pretty sure its a short adapter because it came out of an 85 or 86 model year truck

1. Unsure

2. Until 85 or 86 , the transmission mounts are the same for 203/208 , and I have personally just used what crossmember was sitting around . Sometimes the holes need drilled in the frame , but the crossmember always had the right transmission mount holes .

3. Close enough for my 83 crossmember to fit my 75 .
