np 208

I need a 208 from behind a 350.. I need everything, adapter, crossmember, shifter. I have a 203 right now so I want everything that I would need to do the swap. If anyone has anything.. especially if it is close. let me know.

Why do you want a 208? Since you are converting, a 205 would be a much better option. I can supply you the necessary adapter, drive sleeve, and 205 input gear for $150 delivered Monday. All you would need then would be a 205 from a manual tranny(about $100), change the input and shorten/lengthen driveshafts. Come to think of it, I have an extra 205 from a manual for an extra $100.

I have one from a 700R4, same spline count as a TH350 but I believe the adapter may be a different length so you would want to search for the correct TH350 version (they can be a needle in a haystack kinda deal). I'm asking $100 plus shipping for the NP208 with the adapter, crossmember, and shifter.

205 better swap. and same output in your tranny. if 208/241 you realy want. then full tranny tear down and swap tail shaft needed.

Is it the tailshaft thats different or the adapter? I know GM only had a TH350/NP208 combo from the factory for 1 year so the parts needed for the conversion are kinda rare.

Well what all would I have to do to put a 205 in? The main reason i want to do this swap is to have a cv rear shaft. So with a 205 I will need to figure something out for the rear yoke. I have to look into this more since alot of people seem to think it is the better option.

oh and I forgot to mention the other reason. I need to clock the case down so I can put a front driveshaft in it. The only clocking ring i can find for the 205 is about $170.00 before shipping. For the 208 they are fairly common and cheap.
