other than being able to get a sye kit for the np241 are there any benefits to the 241 over a 208 tcase stronger so forth thanks
 
Planetaries are a little bit stronger , the rear oil slinging thingy ( called a pump ) is better , the low gear is .10 lower , and you can get it backwards out of a manual shift IFS rig if you want to mount to a six round GM adapter and run a Ford Dana 60 .
 
241 and 208 are pretty much the same strength. 241 has a slightly lower gear ratio in low range. 241 has an internal lube pump.
i have read the case is a little thinner on the 241 but not sure about that
 
Tom Woods makes an SYE for the 208 out of the original output shafr and tailhousing of the 208. Something to look into..
