NP 241/208 questions

I want to know if the 700R4/NP208 adapter and shifter is the same as the 700R4/NP241 adapter and shifter? Please let me know ASAP.

Be aware that there are 2 versions of the adapter. The tall version and the short version.

Could I ask someone a related question without staring a new thread. I am very familiar with the 241 that was in the 88 up IFS trucks.Did they also make a 241 right hand drop version for the last years of the R/V or were they all 208s and 205s.?

Yep right hand drop in 'V' versions.

the linkage at the case was clocked 90* for me... it wasnt interchangable... .02

no idea. the 241 was out of a blazer. the 208 was from an 86 ish blazer.


i had to cut and clock the old lever, and the steel they used in that lever destroyed a sawzall blade, and a cutoff wheel.
