When i complete the SYE conversion on my NP241, can i get rid of the crossmember spacers that lowered the transfer case?

Are you going to put a CV on the new rear driveshaft? if so then yes. If you don't run a CV then you may have to leave the crossmember spaced down to keep the driveline angles in check or you could have a driveline vibration.

I'd take those spacers out. the only thing they are good at is bending the bolts when you hit something on the skid plate. measure the new driveshaft length with the spacers gone and SYE in. then talk with your driveshaft guy and see if you need a CV or not based on the new length/angle. If you lift is 4 inches or so I'll bet you'll be fine. You'll gain some DL length with the SYE installed verses the old slip yoke which will help with the angles. At the very least the SYE should offset the removal of the spacers.

SWEET!!!! I plan on doing the 1350 flange with CV driveshaft.....once i get more money that is. Thanks for the info!
