Quick question guys, I have a leak in my TC is it easy to take the TC out and split it so that I can reseal it?, is there anything I need to watch out for?

Simple. You might as well rebuild it while its apart. Get the upgraded snap rings or do a SYE if you have the cash.

If I split it is anthing going to fall out that I need to watch for? Do I need to take the rear cone off first? What needs to be done to separate it from the tranny? Thanks for the help

I sealed up my 208 a few years ago. If I remember right watch out for a spring on the shifter rail, and remember where everthing goes back. Make sure you clean the case halfs were the silicone goes, so you dont have to worry about it leaking again. A 241 might be a little different inside but they both are pretty similar. You dont need to take the tail housing off, it helps it is out of the :k5:

I just split mine apart the other day to replace the rear cover. previous owner cracked the cover on a rock. Its not too bad. A bit of a pain still on the truck.
