This is an NP200 right? Im pretty sure it is. Need it for my build, but the guy cant find any tags. Its from a 53' powerwagon. Possibly a W-300. I know they were in trucks besides the M-37. But before I shell out the dough and drive to snag it I want to be sure.

I had a M715 for a while with one. It looks like it, but something looks weird. Maybe it's just me or an older version. (my M715 was a 67)

If no one has solid info try and get a hold of U2SLOW . He has unreal knowledge on so many parts and applications . He helped me out a while back on the differences on the NP- 200,201,202 cases . Sorry that I can't help much , it was a while back and I do not want to give you bad info from memory.

I just sent him an e-mail with this link, we'll see what he has to say ;)

I've lost access to my picture ID archive :(

IIRC, the shift rail postions and PTO cover (if it even has one) are some of the key features between the 200, 201, and 202.

Here is another alleged NP200:

That t-case originally posted is upside down if it is indeed from a Powerwagon. The brake is opposite the the t-case input, and both outputs are offset.

I thought it was upside down too! I think I can see the two shift rails. I've got that pic from chucks open in another window...clickin back and forth to try to see the similarities. I think there the same. I just need the divorce, free range of clock, dropped rear output. I think it'll work. 1953 though thats like in the pearl harbor era. Who was president then? Roosevelt?

Well I will post these here as well as in chiefheaphy's build thread.

This is the t-case out of my dad's 1952 dodge m-37 (NP-200)

ok I was just thinking about something, Some m-37s came with winches (about 35-40% that were produced). They had Braden PTO driven winches. So would that mean they had a different t-case? possibly the np 201. Is that the only difference between np 200 and np201, one has PTO and the other does not?

For reference, here is a NP201:

Notice the ginormous 10 bolt PTO. This one, according to the guy I got it from, came out from under an International of some kind. It has very large ujoints on it, but they are some oddball size (close to 1410). Notice in the background the common street trash :(

The 201 I have is out of a 69ish Dodge.I bet that PTO box weigh's 50 pounds by it's self.
It's not that bad, but it is beefy. It's kinda neat tho...it has its own oil pickup tube that runs into the t-case's sump. Mine was made by Braden, so it came off of a winch truck, but that's about all you can read on the tag...and it needs rebuilt :(

Oh, and I forgot...the NP202 is easy to spot, it has the shift rails stacked one over the other ( : ) instead of side to side like the others ( . . )
