Could somebody remind me what I am supposed to put in the NP203?

And what kind of transmission fluid goes in a TH350?

And what goes to the modulator valve....I know there was hose there but I think it got lost at the transmission shop...

And how many quarts of motor oil for a 5.7 350?

Anything I should know about installing the NP203...I have filled out my Last Will and Testament....:haha:

dex 3 for atf in th350 if bone dry grab a full case and few extra to be safe. add some to the convtor and then pop in tranny . then add 4 qt to dip stick and fire up and top off from there. seen guys fill them all the way and first time fire up it can come back up like a huge rocket out the tube .

and 30 weight if i recall in np203 ? never filled 1 my self.

and 5qt with filter be just fine in motor with 10-30 for your vintage motor. lots of newer stuff in late 80's early 90's went 5-30 .

2 short 2" rubber vent hoses for each end of a hard 2/16 brake line from intake port behind carb to vac mod on the tranny. it gets full manifold vac signal not a ported off carb.

The transmission guy said just put 5 quarts in and let it idle for 20 minutes...I asked him if I needed to fill the converter...he said no...leave it alone.

I think I know where that thing is that goes from the manifold to the modulator...

DO NOT RUN 20 MIN THEN CHECK & FILL ! ! ! !

if to low this will TRASH THE NEW TRANS

check it first then fill as needed like i said . and respect the cold /hot marks on the dip stick for fluid level.

The NP203 uses 10w-40 motor oil. People severly hurt their 203s by using either gear oil (90w) or transmission fluid (18w) in their cases. The gear oil is way too thick for the 203 and will not lubricate the links in the chain. Transmission fluid is too thin, and will not properly lubricate the ball bearings used in the input and output shafts. If you have used these fluids in your case, you need to drain it immediately, and fill it with the correct fluid.
