Np203 help

I have an th350 to np203 adapter with a bolt that mounts it to the crossmember broken. Whats the best way to remove it. Or do I even need that crossmember? It's missing the rubber mount thing. And what's the best way to install an np203 without killing yourself? Thanks

Removing the bolt there are several methods. Since about the only thing I have access to is easy outs, which don't work all that often. I would take the adapter to a machine shop and have someone do it for me. They can maybe get it out and chase the threads, or drill out for larger size and re tap or heli-coil it.

For installation I use either an ATV jack, tranny jack, or floor jack with a plate. I know some have used an engine hoist from the interior. I also used a come along that was attached to my cage from the inside. All depends what you are comfortable with. Good luck.

Is that crossmember needed? I've read that it is and it isn't. I'd imagine you wouldn't just want that np203 hanging off the tranny with no support tho

I prefer having the crossmember and the rubber mounts can be purchased from several places. LMC, Brothers etc.
