np203-np208 questions

a friend has a th350 with a np203 on it. will a np208 be a direct swap or do they take different t-case adapters?

different adaptor and different trannie output shaft. th350s that had 208s had a much longer output saft then 203/205 version th350s. not too hard to swap output shafts though. i've done the swap and was quite happy to dump the boat anchor 203 for a nice light 208. let me know if you have anymore questions. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

thanks this is a friend of a friend who is selling a truck and just wanted to swap out a bad np203 for a good np208 so he could sell it /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif but thanks for the offer of help /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
