np203 OR NP205?

I Just Purchased A 75 K-5 Blazer Minus Drivetrain (engine,trans,transfer Case, Driveshafts) For $600.00. Rust Is Very Minimal On Pass. Side Floorboard. No Cracks On The Frame By The Gearbox. Blazer Needs Work But Overall A Good Buy.

My Question Is I Plan On Going With A 350 Or 383, Th400 Combo. I Want To Put In An Np205. I Believe These Came With An Np203 If The Blazer Is An Auto Trans. Which Mine Is. What Will I Run Into Putting An Np205 Under My Blazer Instead Of The Np203? Will It Bolt Right Into The O.e. Crossmember? I Know The Speedo Cable Is On The Opposite Side. Is That The Only Difference? Thanks For Your Help!

I swapped a 203 for a 205 and the speedo cable was on the same (driver's) side. You can use your 203 crossmember, you'll just need to lengthen the holes in the middle, where the bushings bolt on.

I looked at Chucks trucks web page and he had some pics showing a 203 and 205. The pic pointed out that the speedo cable was on the opposite side. Anyway doesnt matter i want the 205. Either way i will make it work. Thanks!!
