NY np203 parts before scrap run ?

Damn. Mine has a stretched chain and possibly suspect sprocket teeth. Do you know what year it's out of? I *think* that '77 was the cut over year from the 2" to the 2.5" chain. I have a '76.
got to pull cover on front axle to verify gears and date .
otherwise I got no clue .
most I have played with them is scrap out for range box .

I wish I was closer to you. I'd take the whole chain drive section of the case. As it is, I know those things are heavy as hell and shipping would break the bank. I know when it comes time to rebuild my 203 it's going to be spendy. Finding them without the chains being stretched can be iffy.
let me see what I can do on guts .
don't know miles on it was just case and axle I got delivered to me .
did see pics tho and it had a plow on it .
so take that within consideration .

Wow, thanks a lot for looking. Don't go to too much trouble though. I don't want you to mess with it for hours when you are just trying to do something nice. I just hate to see stuff like that hit the scrap yard when they are getting harder to find in good shape.
It has no tag on it with the date codes ?..
