Ok guysI pulled my tranny and t-case to only find the t-case is wasted inside. I have been looking for another 203 but I found a nice 205. I am wondering what it takes to put it in. It has the adapter, but is the crossmember different? Will the shifter go through the tunnel in the same spot? It looks like the drivelines will be a different length also. Also is there any difference in the yokes? Anyone who has knowledge of this would be very helpfull. The guy says he thinks it came from an 80's chevy truck but I have never heard of a th350 and np205 in that year. Thought they were 72 and under mostly.

There are several versions of 205's. You need a 27 spline input to work with your TH350. You'll also need the correct adapter to go from TH350/205. I'm not much more help so someone else will have to step in on this. Is the rear output a fixed yoke or a slip yoke?

Im not sure on the yoke. I know its bolted to a th350.

If it's already bolted to a TH350 then you need everything from the adapter back, including the drive sleeve. If it has a fied year yoke it is 1979 and earlier IIRC, i think 1980 and later they were all slip yoke rear (unless someone converted it to fixed yoke).

Can't help you yet, but I have the same year and same swap going on this next 2 weeks. I did quite a bit of researching(I am very novice at the whole thing), and was able to find a factory 205 that was bolted up to a TH350. So I have all I need (hope) for a direct swap.

Yep, the drive shaft will need to be longer. Other than that, it's supposed to be a direct swap, if you have the correct adapter.

Do you know if the shifter will go through the same hole in the floor? Also what about the crossmember. Are they the same?

The shifter should come through the same hole if the combo came out of a blazer. Not sure about the crossmember though.
