NP203 version for sm465 unique?

Yup, AA bell. Not the best product I've ever bought, but it's OK. I had to clearance the starter nose cone area of the bell to allow the starter to fit correctly  . You'd think for $400, stuff like the starter would just bolt right up...

BTW, maybe hit the input bearing retainer with a wire brush or emery to remove any nicks or burrs. Mine fit the output housing of the NV4500 with no issues other than being a snug fit.

Thanks, that's good advice. I have a passenger drop bellhousing for the early style 4500. I was hoping to not have to buy another bellhousing, but the early 4500's are even harder to find than the later models. And since I'm using a doubler, the extra low granny isn't as important.

I also see now how you solved the problem of the one hole on the 203 range box which didn't seem to fall on the flat part case. You just skipped that one right? (ie, only drilled 5 holes?)

Yup, got 5 out of 6 and called it a day. ;)

The factory bells for the NV4500 either have the clutch slave on the passenger side of the bell or they have the internal slave. This bell from AA has provision for a GM clutch slave on the drivers side with the addition of one more bracket from AA. The bell itself will accept a Jeep clutch slave, but others have had issues using that set-up.

Do you happen to have a part number for the AA bracket to use the gm slave? Do they also carry the slave/master combo kit? I ended up selling the bellhousing and slave assembly to someone in Norway. He's the same person that beat me out on a used nv4500 on ebay the week before.

I'd also be interested in any crossmember pictures you might have around.
