np203 wont go into low or high lock!

having trouble with my np203 going into lock. before it just grinded a little bit but now wont go in at all. i tryed to adjust the links but notreally sure on how to do so. was told by someone it could also be my kick down cable. is that a poss?

Shifter, common problem on the 203. The shifters from factory are riddled with problems, just a poor design. They get some wear and they don't fully engage. Best bet is to twin stick it, find someone who can adjust it, or find a good one. They are hard to get adjusted correctly.

The single shift works fine IF:
1. It's properly adjusted
2. Properly lubricated

The mechanism will not lock and jams up if it dries out. Spray some good lubricant either from below or top down and it will more than likely work fine.
