I am interested. What year and model truck is it from? I am close by :D
PM sent

Did you get my PM? can you send pics?

Do you know whether the NP205 has the long style female input shaft where it sticks out about 3.5 inches , or the short style that sticks out 1.25 inches? Or is the trans still attached? You mentioned the trans was rebuilt. Is the trans included?

Thanks,
Jeff

I'm gonna have to pass on this one. Not the right style case for me.
thx,
jeff

Uh oh,,..... that may not be the right case for me too.

...... is the adaptor for the older style figure-8 NP205?

Just an FYI, that's either a '90-91 case, or the output housing has been changed. Looks like round bolt pattern to me, that's '85+ IIRC.

The slip yoke output housing puts that as a 1980 or later model, the VSS is '90-91 only, and that shifter handle is also a later model than a 70's piece.

Wish you were closer, I'd love to have a spare. Perfect candidate to convert your truck to '90-91 electric speedometer cluster for anyones info.

I'm going to have to back out of this. Thanks for the call.

I need the later model version.

I was initially sure that was a VSS on the output shaft, but is that a wire connector or is it a speedometer cable connector?

If VSS, then at least that part of it is '90-91.

If the adapter looks the same where it mounts to the transfercase as the transmission end of the adapter in the picture (round) then it's a round pattern 205. There was only that pattern and the "figure 8" pattern, so don't really need a picture I'd say, just confirmation of how the adapter is bolted to the case.

It looks to be an 80 model.
The wires you see are for the dash lights (4x4) & (low).
If you look at the rear output you can see thats its a slip yoke & that it is a cable driven speedo.

It looks to be a figure 8 bolt pattern. The pic shows the round pattern that goes to the trans. The adapter is bolted to the t-case (looks to be a figure 8 style)

You must have better eyes than I....I can't tell for sure that it's just not a crudded up VSS connector. Rear output can't be slip for 90-91? I know they were used up until the mid-late 80's, but I don't have the parts manual for 90-91.

I just can't tell for certain on the adapter pattern, just too shaded for my eyes in that picture.

i added some new photos as of today

if you invert the dark ones you can see the bolts

when i pulled the unit it had a regular speedo input in the 78 chevy it was in

Moto, would you consider selling just the xfer case? Pls let me know ASAP.
Thx,
jeff
