I am in the process of converting my 76 from NP203 to NP205...do I need any adaptors? What about drive-shafts?
The 205 came from a 3/4 ton Sub and I have a output yoke and drive-shaft from it. I heard there are u-joints with combo 1310 and 1350's...is there such a thing?

I just completed changing my 76 K5 Chalet over to a NP205 this week...i converted my 79 K5 last year. Its a simple bolt in installation...no redrilling holes ect. You will need the NP205 to TH350 adapter .... dry sleeve...and shifter linkage...new boot and trim plate. Other than that you will have to have 2 new driveshafts made up. I had Dick's driveshafts here in Phx Az. make up mine...the rear shaft ended up being 45.5 inches long...and the front 25.5 inches long. Dick's advertises in the 4x4 mags...there number is 602-244-8115.

The NP205 still has the through floor shifter on it hooked to the dual rods coming from the case?..is that what
you are referring to? It also still has the stock GM adaptor on the input side of the case and was previously
mated to a TH400! Does that have the same bolt pattern as the TH350?

Np205's mated to a Th400 had different adapters as the output end of the trans had 6 bolts instead of 4...so you will need a TH400 to run the combo you currently have...plus i don't know if the TH400 is longer than the TH350...so you might have to drill some holes to relocate the x-fer mount...i would email Steve at ORD...he can answer those questions...and yes the linkage that is there is what you need..all you need know is a TH400...new stall convertor ...new mounts..and a NP205 shift boot...i'll find the paperwork tomorrow for mine so you have a part number.
