Np205 Fluids??

So I bought two np205's from JeffHK5 this weekend. drained out fluids last night to start the SYE kit install :D to the one I am going to use and found two different fluids in them.

In the sm465 - 10 spline 205 there was a light gear oil.

In the th350 - 27 spline 205 there was RED TRANNY FLUID??

I am confused. Should I refill the 205 I am using (27 spline th350 ) with tranny fluid? It seems that fluid would pass through the front seal into the transmission (since fluid can leak out of there). Any thoughts?

PS - I have all the tech info offered from a different thread, to no avail with this question.
 
Either one is acceptabel but most run gear oil.
 
and no, the 205 is a self contained unit, the fluids do not flow from tranny to tcase
 
Ahh.... cause I was opened the case without knowing it had tranny fluid it in and was like WOOT! (as it missed the pan and poured onto my hand and the floor).
 
Yea this is one thing that I was wondering. Since I was going to mate my Np205 to my Th350. But since "the 205 is a self contained unit". I don't have to worry about it. I will put gear oil in the Np205 when I install it.
 
Output shafts on the 205's came with a fixed (non moveable) rear yoke, and a slip rear yoke for the driveshaft.

First pic has a slip yoke rear output (no yoke attached) on the far right side of the t-case

The reason for the swap is that one t -case is designed to mate to a manual SM465 transmission, while the one I need is designed to mate to a Th350 transmission.
