Hey Guys,
I am installing a 205/203 doubler and had a quick question about the 205 shift rails. The guy I bought the 205 from said the rails had been ground down for a twin stick. How can I tell without taking it apart?

With both detent balls/springs out and the rear rail in neutral I can shift the front rail into Hi/N/L easily. Does this mean they are ground down? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you can do as you say then yes, they have been ground for twin stick.

Thats what I thought, that is great news since I already installed the doubler/203 before I thought to check that, i know, stupid me. Thanks for the info!

Another quick clarification on shifting the 205 with twin sticks... I cant take the rear out of Hi or Low unless the front is in N right? Any other shifting restrictions I should be aware of? Thanks for being patient with me, I am just a young dumb kid

The trans needs to be in neutral to shift either t-case.

Thanks a bunch. You guys are awesome!

I got the T-cases all setup today with all three shifters working perfect. Took some patients with cable shifters but all is good now. Next project, crossmembers!
