NP205 input length

Alright how long does the adapter need to be to put the 205 on the 85+ 465 10 inch or 8 inch.

Thank you for the length, if you are running an 85+ Sm465 with a Np205 can you tell me do I need that exact adapter or can I use the one from my 208 with the round pattern and the np205 with the long 32 spline input shaft.

No. I have both adapters. The 208 one is ~2" shorter.
