Ive searched and found plenty about the swap for 700r4/205 but I was wondering if anyone makes an input adapter that is 27 spline and female, so I could eliminate the drive sleeve.

Am I just being a Idiot and there are no aftermarket inputs?

Nope, none. I think the rule of thumb is:

-29 splines or less is a male input
-31 splines or more is a female input

I hate the drive sleeve too, 'cept I have a 465/T221.

I wonder if the engineers at New Process seriously put a huge dartboard on their office wall with numbers 1-35 and threw darts at it to determine which transfer case got what spline count where. It makes no sense.

That is not New Process Gear's fault. The auto manufacturers choose their own spline counts and they all made them to match their normal tranny output splines.
