So 20 or so years ago I bought 4 Np205 transfer cases from a guy didn't know anything about the syncro units. Well 2 are gm syncro units and 2 are ford.
Can I swap all the guts with the ford cases and end up with 2 gm non syncro cases? They are both slip yoke cases also.

Next question would I then be able to twin stick them also?

As said above . All front guts / shift fork / rear cover and front seal retainer .

Ford front output gets you 32 spline over the gm 10 or 30 they used . So thats a win .

Go to the advanced articles section here and click my doubler build . I did full step by step on 205 tear down and assemble with these mods and more . Tons of pics .

The only hang-up is the shift rails, GM/Ford rails are basically mirrors (don't interchange) and the GM synchro shift rails are different than non-synchro rails. You'll still need some non-synchro GM shift rails to make the swap work.

On the rear output, you'll need to use the GM cast iron housing with the Ford output shaft (i.e. don't use the cast iron piece with the speedo parts from the Ford). Everything else with the front/rear output should be plug and play.
