np205 t-case adapter...use rtv?

i jus purchased a new adapter for my th350 205 tcase. the should i use rtv on the gasket and oring for the gaskets that mount adapter to tcase and tranny?

I used the copper gasket stuff on my gaskst

not needed if all dry going together on tranny side.

and little to help hold the gasket in place on tcase side.

a couple of my friends have broke adapters and found out that a combonation of the gasket with rtv adds the tiny amount of buffer it needs to keep the shock down to a minimum which keeps adapters alive.
