I'm looking for the side torque bar brace to support th350-np205. The one that connects to the bell housing.

I'll posts a screen cap of what bar will work and what it looks like

LOTS of those get lost or not re-installed over the years, and keep in mind that each transmission and transfer case has it's own version (different lengths, mostly). They seem to be pretty rare on NP205's.

You could make one easy, if you have metal melting ability.

I have this one…
I think it was from a TH350/205 combo in 1980.
Also have the figure 8 adapter if you’re looking for that as well, but will need some help in confirming that before I could say for sure. Only thing I know is its attached to a 205.

Yeah, I have no way to make one unfortunately...

I'm interested for sure I'll dm you.
That is most certainly the correct adapter !
If you’re good with what ever the price is then get it.
As for the bar lengths I can’t recall but it’s the shortest of all of them.
The guy that posted up and said he had one off of a 1980 K/5 with a TH350/205 would be great - pick that thing up !
The 80 model bar is the only year that came with one on that combo - the other bar from the 465/205 just happens to fit but they are rare, not all of those combos came with them from 81~84 in the K-30’s.
Now stop reading this post and PM that guy with the 80 K/5 stuff and you will be all set if it came from his TH350/205.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Sorry I did not post up earlier - I didn’t see this thread until tonight.

If it truly came from his 80 K/5’s 350/205 set up then you are all set .
Hope it works out for ya’ !
Does that overall measurement of 34” sound right?
I had two T350 combos, one a 205, the other a 203, which are both apart now, and one of them had the bar cut off…:yikes:

@TJ1978 Take a tape measure and measure From the face of the bellhousing to the center of the first bolt hole. That will give you an idea on if one of the braces will fit when the seller measures the brace like @76zimmer did at 2'-6.5"
The 205 is not installed yet. Is there a way to measure with my 203 that's still in the truck to get an idea of what bar works with the 205? Or is that already what you're suggesting?

the 203 side brace mounting location is further back and therefore will be longer in measurement.

It has been so long since I did the th350-np203 to th350-np205 swap in a 78 K5. When I replaced the torque bar I think there was about a 1/4 in gap between the bellhousing and the torque bar. I think I used a washer to make up for the gap. I don't recall exactly as it been many years ago.

Also the original bolt for the th350-np203 torque bar had sheared off in the bell housing. So it took some effort to remove it with a thread out.
