So, on a vss np205, can you convert it back to cable? is it just a matter of switching outputs? or is it more complicated then that?

Should be able to swap out the reluctor and housing, since those are the only differnces between the two. Never nor even seen a VSS 205 up close, only have the ring to compare, so I may be wrong.

If you are using the stock speedometer, I'd suggest just making the 205 VSS work with the electronic speedo. It's far, far better.

Here's my "VSS"

Sorry, it had to be said :haha:

How about you send me the eletronic stuff and I send you the older stuff :D:D

I need to get the electronic stuff for an 89 burb I have

The one i'm getting is a 91. and I already have the inline vss, and my mechanical sppedo head was rebuilt not too long ago, hate to swap it out and have to start all over.

Yeah but no speedo cable to worry about. Ever. :) Or magnets. Might be able to resell a good speedo, inline VSS, etc. Besides, tire size/gear changes with the DRAC is a soldering fix. :)

'91 I believe was it for Chev VSS 205's. You can make the setup with 241 reluctor ring.

Details? Someday I'd like to go to a 205 on the back of a doubler, but I have VSS and a DIP switch already in the DRAC and would like to avoid going with a cable (and I would already have the parts in my 241. :D )
