NP205 with VSS, options?

Maybe not what most are going to be expecting with that title, but don't know what else to call it.

Have the fixed yoke, 32 spline, circle pattern, passenger drop, VSS NP205 in the truck already.

I've basically sold it...guy put some money down on it.

He doesn't need nor want VSS. I know how "rare" these 205 parts are, and I'd rather get at least that part of it to someone that can use it. He would actually rather have cable drive, so if I swap to that, he's good.

Only thing I can think of is to find someone with the proper parts, and swap them out. I hate putting extra work into this, but I just don't see swapping someone straight up for another 205, when I can show that this one works, because it's in the truck still.

Maybe I'm looking for validation that this is the best plan. When I posted it for sale I only got one other call, and it was someone doing an LS-swap. This guy just got to my place first.

Obviously someone local is preferred, but Craigslist seems hit or miss. Any other ideas?

I would Call ord and buy the small parts and swap one over. Its not alot of parts yo change. list all the vss parts on eBay as an ls swap kit and boom. All parts used and sold.

Yeah, I could. As bad as my memory is, I recall swapping the output shaft on this one from slip to fixed, and in actuality I think the slip may work better for him as well.

Are you in Roy? I can stop by and swap the parts for you. Did I sell you the VSS parts?

Send your speedometer housing into Offroad Design and they will machine it for VSS and send it back to you with all of the parts needed to run VSS.

Think it costs like $190 or so.

Yep, I'm out in Roy. Don't recall where I got the fixed yoke portions, I want to think I had another t-case around, but the VSS t-case originally came from a truck that was pulled from a river up near Snohomish IIRC. Man it's been a long time, that truck was absolutely destroyed.
