Is there any seal that goes on the output shaft(s) before installing the nut for the rear yoke, or front for that matter. I've seen rubber washers with splines on them before but not sure if those are/were used on a 205.

On my 205 there are seals on both front and rear outputs. Now I will admit that because mine is an 80 205 it has a slip yoke rear, so that may be different, but IIRC there should be a seal for the yoke on both. I just replaced both of mine.

I have NWF sye kit, and that rubber washer came with it.

Do you have any idea where i might find that washer other than NWF? I don't have any issues with them other than shipping time sucks since it has to go through customs and that can take days or weeks. My last order from them took about 2 weeks to get some gaskets.

Mine didn't have the rubber seals with the splines on them, just some large rubber seals that run on the outside of the yoke, well flange on the front. I keep hearing about these seals but have never seen them myself. I picked up my seals from Napa.

Mine didn't have any of those that I saw, so maybe there were some that used them and some that did not. They may not be required, as my 205 no longer marks it's territory wherever I park it.
Quad 4x4 has the seals and a few other hard to find NP205 parts.

The '91 fixed yoke 205 I took the output shaft out of did use that washer. No idea on the front.

Mine had crusty old washers like that, that seeped oil past. I ripped them out, slathered a bunch of RTV in there, put the nut on top and cranked it down. All has been well since.
