I have a feeling most don't care or don't think about these switches, but since mine worked, I'd like it to continue to work. I am in the process of installing the 241, and the switch on it has a broken housing, and the spare I have is non-functioning internally.

I was able to find 14037986 as the GM part number, but it's discontinued.
15582030 appears to be very similar, but shows '88+ on NP241's. I know nearly nothing is interchangeable between the driver and passenger drop cases, but I can't see what they would have changed with the switch itself, or why.

Anyone dealt with this? The aftermarket switch on Rockauto (only one offered) is $35, and that seems ridiculous to me, when the GM ones for the later 241 are $15.

Thanks! Even the ACDelco website was worthless for part crosses. A bit cheaper at least.

I'm curious about the later ones now, the housing is a different color, and from the close up shots it looks like the weatherpack connector is keyed differently than the earlier ones. Not sure how, weatherpack is all the same supposedly. I might dig into it just to see. But to get the right thing, I don't see an option but to order that replacement part you linked to.

If you have a Transtar transmission parts supplier in your area these are sold as part number 331411 crossing from the 14037986 number, less than $20

Thanks Greg! I'll have to call around and see if anyone can get that. Doesn't look like online is a good option for this one.

I was just looking at the Transtar catalog online, and they show 351411 crossing(?) with 15582030. Ugh.

But I trust you saw something better/newer, the catalog is from 2011.

Nope, mine is a 2011, I looked it up under the 208 section, the 241 switch shows to be a 351411 and interchanges with the 15582030 in my book.

Ok, corrected my post, the numbers are off by one digit. I was looking at the 241 pages. I guess they too are indicating a difference between the drivers and passenger drop t-cases on the switches.
