I just picked up a SM465 and with it came two NP208 transfer cases. I will be swapping the 465 into my K5, but am not sure if I should keep my stock 208 (from a 700r4) or use the one of the ones the guy gave me. He swapped the back halves of the 208C with a 208D to remove the sliding yoke, so now I would need to build a driveshaft with a CV joint in it. What should I do? What CV joint should I look for to make this work if I keep the 208D tcase? Thanks a bunch. I can provide pics if needed.

K well so from what I can tell its basically like doing a SYE kit for a 208C by putting a 208D rear half on it from a dodge. So when I'm hunting for a CV driveshaft to customize to work in my application what should I be looking for? Any ideas?

first off the np208 from behind your 700r4 is 28 spline the 465 need the 32 spline

if possible i would stick with the sye'd case half from the 208D its far superior

Okay good to know. The two tcases I got from him are both SYE'd. I believe they are both 32 spline, I know the one connected to the sm465 is for sure. The one connected to my 700r4 will be 28 spline then i guess, can I use it for parts though? I imagine everything else like the shift linkage etc. should work off it? Anyone know what I should be looking for as far as driveshafts go when I start modifying one to stick in my truck?
