NP208 drain plug

I changed the transfer case fluid in my NP208 transfer case in my 1988 Suburban and noticed that it does not have a magnetic drain plug. Does the NP208 of this vintage normally have one, and maybe someone put the wrong one in mine, or did they just not have one.

My 1999 Ranger has magnetic plug in both the case and manual transmission, and I think my old toyotas had magnetic plugs too.

there is a magnet in the t case <all years im pretty sure> it just isnt on the drain plug , u have to split the case to clean it .
