NP208 fill plug issues...

okay so maybe my truck just sucks but i can NOT get that stupid fill plug off of the 208 transfer case. any tips or anything about getting it off? i have the 1 3/16 socket size but it keeps slipping off because the stupid head of the bolt is like 2/7 of an inch thick or something reciduloucs. theres a little rubber washer it looks like that is underneath the bolt. i tried spraying it with silocon spray but to no avail. the bottom one loosens all easy. any advice?

dude get a 24" cressent wrench it will pop right off!!!! soo much leverage

yeah ill try that. i have one of those gorilla bar things and that thing didnt even work. and that thing ALWAYS works!

I call my 24" cresent wrench the biz handler!!! takes ANYTHING off (if you can get it in the space)

Agreed....i use the crescent wrench on mine. You may also want to spray some pb blaster on it.

the 208 i got from a member here on the board had a nut welded onto the plug to make it easier to get off with having to have such a large socket...
