NP208 front seal replacement easy?

I noticed transmission fluid leaking from the front seal of my transfer case. Hopefully I won't have to drop the whole thing to get it out. I'm thinking of trying some transmission leak stop, I haven't had too much time recently.

I changed mine while it was still in the truck. take the big nut that holds the flange off then pull the seal with a pick of some kind. there is not a lot of room to get a pick in because of the front output shaft is still in place, but it is doable.

when i did mine the hardest part was getting the seal out, it looked like someone replaced it before and put it in backwards. it was a PITA to get out.

Make sure to drain the tcase first or you will get a transmisson fluid bath.
