NP208 help

Ok so while trying to remove the rear output seal that was crusted in after 10 years of sitting I cracked the tail housing and a chunk fell out. So mad it was such an amateur mistake.

So for the NP208 what years were they? 81 to 87? Do any other truck brands have an NP208 that the tail housing wold work? Ideally i'd just like to unbolt the tail housing and swap.

Old Chev/GM are getting harder to find in the wreckers in Alberta.

Up to '88. '89 will be an NP241 with mechanical speedometer. I *think* that would be a direct interchange, don't see why not, but don't quote me on it. The 241 is generally considered to be superior to the 208.

Check eBay and look for people here doing SYE swaps as some will have a good tail housing left over.

Sorry about the late reply. Ive been swamped with work.

Thank you both very much for the offers, but shipping to canada would be too expensive.

And on another note i hydro locked the engine last weekend and bent a rod. So im out for a bit while i figure out what to replace the 6.2 with.
