I have an '86 with a NP208 t-case, automatic,dana44 and 14bolt ff and .Here is the problem I get a rumble when I am on the gas lightly, when i give it more or let it off completely it stops. It does it in both 4wheel dror 2. I think it could be a bearing in the t-case. Does anyone have a comment on this or any better ideas. Also, how hard is it to rebuild a np208 t-case? /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Thanks

I have the same sound. Sounds like a pipe being dragged on pavement right. Its pretty loud when coasting at freeway speeds. Frizz is right, its due to your pinion angle. If you're still running your stock driveshaft, look into getting a CV shaft made. I tried using degree shims on my extended non-CV shaft and the vibes are still there.
