1/2 ton status
hey guys...i have an 86 k5 w/t400 & np208...the front output shaft spins freely even w/the driveshaft hooked up...any insight into the problem/fix??? thankx n advance...

It should spin free , until its in four wheel drive , then its locked to the transfercase speed along with the rear driveshaft .
If it spins free when in four wheel drive , then you have a problem . Chain failures are uncommon , but worn range selectors are common .

will check that out n about 2 wks, thanks...jus finished my one ton swap yesterday n droppin it off for a new motor this am...glad the swap was free this time around...
